Following the windmill’s arrival to Elk Horn in 1976, Bing & Grøndahl produced a commemorative plate which featured the windmill standing at its former home in Nørre Snede, Denmark. 50 years later, the windmill is still going strong in Elk Horn, where it continues to turn in the wind to this day. Celebrate our golden year in style with our new commemorative t-shirt! The shirt features our logo on the front, and special 50th anniversary seal on the back. The seal is a callback to the original plate that Bing & Grøndahl made. Over the last 50 years, the iconic Danish blue plates have been a central piece of our organization, generating revenue year after year to help keep the windmill turning.
