Klarborg Nisserikker 2025 - Ornaments

To me, Christmas decorations should be something special, perhaps something that becomes a tradition. I have Christmas decorations given to me from my mother and grandmother, and those items have decorated my Christmas tree since 1980 and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. When my boys move out and get their own Christmas tree, they will receive Christmas tree decorations that belonged to their grandmother and their great grandmother and of course some from me. About the maker

Klarborg

Artist Etly Klarborg has filled homes with her cheerful nisser since 1986. Rooted in Danish folklore and Christmas tradition, the figures are inspired by familiar faces and small moments from everyday life.

Each character has its own expression and story, with details finished by hand. Collected one by one or brought out together each December, Klarborg nisser offer a playful way to make the season feel familiar across generations.

Mange Tak

“I love the hospitality of hygge you feel upon entering the Danish Windmill! A friendly staff, a thorough tour of the inner-workings of the windmill itself, and a shopping experience that has both traditional and modern Danish offerings — the Windmill appeals to all ages, and will have you saying, “Mange tak!” ”

Lots of History and Small Town Charm

“A beautiful, authentic working Danish windmill. I learned not every windmill is the same. Lots of history to learn. Very cool to tour the inside and learn about how it was transported from Denmark. You can tour the inside the windmill and walk up a few floors even walk outside on the catwalk around the windmill. The grounds are well kept and feature a neat Viking house replica. A tiny church. A wooden troll and gnome home. A great gift shop full of Danish imports. I liked that the gift shop had a variety of pamphlets of other interesting things to do around the area.”
