Disa is a sweet and funny little tot. She tumbles around the forest, forgetting all about time and place. She loves all the forest mushrooms, and her hat – made to keep her tiny cold ears warm – is, of course, a knitted mushroom cap. Obert is a brave and lively little guy. Even in the worst snowstorm, he just has to go exploring in nature. He’s tough as ice, so he’d better hold on to his hat!

To me, Christmas decorations should be something special, perhaps something that becomes a tradition. I have Christmas decorations given to me from my mother and grandmother, and those items have decorated my Christmas tree since 1980 and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. When my boys move out and get their own Christmas tree, they will receive Christmas tree decorations that belonged to their grandmother and their great grandmother and of course some from me. It is my hope that th

Danish Windmill · A shop with a story
Warm and Cozy
“Shopping at the windmill is always an adventure! I always know I'm going to find more than what I came for and their selection is always fresh with new items to bring home. They always have this ability to bring coziness and warmth into my home. I bought this ceramic house and had so much fun painting it. Now it glows in my living room every night! ”
Lots of History and Small Town Charm
“A beautiful, authentic working Danish windmill. I learned not every windmill is the same. Lots of history to learn. Very cool to tour the inside and learn about how it was transported from Denmark. You can tour the inside the windmill and walk up a few floors even walk outside on the catwalk around the windmill. The grounds are well kept and feature a neat Viking house replica. A tiny church. A wooden troll and gnome home. A great gift shop full of Danish imports. I liked that the gift shop had a variety of pamphlets of other interesting things to do around the area.”
